Building

Co-building Dyad with Joshua Kampa: a project about what it takes for human-AI pairs to collaborate with each other. Current work is focused on defining a review-ready handoff for agent-assisted work, something another person can inspect without joining the same system. The handoff is designed to carry the original request, authorized scope, evidence, unresolved assumptions, and a path for repair.

Writing

Writing about the difference between collaboration agents and automation agents, and what happens to judgment when AI does more of the work people once learned through doing.

Reading / Playing

Still reading On the Calculation of Volume III. Also completely absorbed in Dave the Diver.

Teaching

Beginning the Art & Authorship quarter at Artist Commons, with Philosophy of Art lectures on originality, lineage, inheritance, repetition, and creative misreading. I am also facilitating one of this year’s artist cohorts.

Making

Commissioning a New Hermes Vanguard 7000 as a digital matrix-making machine. I’m interested in incision and fill, digital drypoint, and cutting through one surface to expose another.

Thinking About

  • Review-ready handoffs for agent-assisted work
  • Collaboration agents versus automation agents
  • Retaining our ability to judge in an AI-driven workplace
  • Originality without beginning from nothing
  • Engraving as digital matrix-making
